Church redecoration work 19th January to 14th February – check Calendar for services and groups
Shriving Service
Our Shriving service this year is on Tuesday 17th February at 12:15pm, following the end of the Pancake Race. The racers will be there, having run to the church, and everyone is warmly welcomed!
Ash Wednesday
This year Ash Wednesday – marking the start of Lent – is February 18th. Our special services, with Holy Communion and ashing, will be at 10:00am and 7:00pm
Church in the Pub
On Monday 23rd February we’re launching “Church in the Pub” – a chance to ask questions and talk about the Christian faith in an evening session at The Bull between 7:30pm and 8:30pm, led by Fr. Ben
New appointment for our Curate
We offer our warmest congratulations to our Curate, Revd Hugh Reid, on his appointment to a new post in the Diocese of Chichester! His final service here in Olney will be on Sunday 1st March at 10:00am
Church Redecoration
We’re redecorating! The church bulding will be closed from Monday 19th January to Saturday 14th February while ceilings are repainted – but services and groups are continuing!
Olney Pancake Race
Tuesday 17th February 2026
Shrove Tuesday brings the famous Olney Pancake Race, followed by the annual Shriving Service in the church!
