The church will be closed between Monday 19th January and Saturday 14th February for redecoration work.

Specialist contractors will be repainting the ceiling of the nave (the main body of the church) and the north porch (the main entrance porch). This will also involve redecorating the moulding and carvings in the porch and the roundels on the nave ceiling. For this we will need to put up scaffolding in the church and cover up key things like the church organ. For this reason there will be no access to the church during the redecoration period and services and group meetings will be held in other places.

Our regular Sunday morning services will move to the Church Hall, and weekday services (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) will take place in the Rectory. For some Sunday evening services we will be joining with other churches in the area. You can find details of where individual services and events are happening on the calendar page.

We aim to have the church open once again for our Sunday service on 15th February and the Shriving Service on Tuesday 17th February.

Meanwhile this is a good opportunity to experience worship in our Church Hall, and we’ll be arranging some special services there.
