Easter 2025 at St Peter and St Paul
We have a range of services all the way through Holy Week, starting with Palm Sunday and ending with the joyful service of Easter Day
Sunday 13th April
10:30am Procession to Cowper Memorial URC, followed by joint service
This year we will join in a procession from our church to the Cowper Memorial URC on the High Street, and then have a joint service for Palm Sunday there.

A contemplative evening service for Holy Week

A contemplative evening service for Holy Week
Wednesday 16th April
7:30pm Tenebrae
“Service of darkness” – a Holy Week tradition where candles are gradually extinguished as we think about the events leading up to Good Friday
Thursday 17th April
7:30pm Maundy Thursday service
A service where we reflect on the Last Supper – the final meal that Jesus celebrated with his disciples.
Friday 18th April
12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm Reflections for Good Friday
Opportunties for prayer and reflection on Good Friday. The first two hours will feature readings, meditations and hymns, whilst the final hour will follow the traditional Liturgy of Good Friday. This is a special service featuring prayers at the foot of the cross.
