The Sheppard Singers is an exciting new choir formed by members and friends of the well-known and much loved Consensus Vocalis, which disbanded in 2021 following the retirement of its founder and director, Allan Leroy.
Based in the beautiful St Mary’s church, Great Houghton, their aim is to continue the work of Consensus Vocalis, exploring the a capella music of a multitude of composers, spanning all genres and times, both well-known and less familiar.
At this special evening concert celebrating the 700th anniversary of St Peter & St Paul, we can look forward to a range of sacred and secular music from the last 700 years.
